Bedroom Chic: Floral print kimono and matching PJ shorts in Palm Springs

We girls not only want to look chic when we’re out – we also want to look chic in loungewear, feel sexy and girly when wearing cute PJ’s or lingerie at home. I’m all about looking girly and attractive to my partner when we’re home, but also love dressing up my PJ game when I’m traveling, to look extra cute to my travel buddies whether it’s my girlfriends or boyfriend – except my mom 🙂 Because she doesn’t care LOL! I take A LOT of pictures and create memories when I travel, and that’s actually one of the reasons I travel 🙂 In fact, I choose the hotels I stay at based on their decor and vibes – so all of my outfits including my PJ’s need to be on point. Who’s with me ladies? 🙂

And by that, I don’t mean you need to be wearing Hello Kitty PJ’s (which I don’t mind since I’m a Hello Kitty fan and got lots of those PJ’s :), or super sexy lingerie, which probably won’t be very easy to pull off unless you’re on honeymoon or a sexy getaway 🙂 I usually go for cute kimonos, whether they’re floral and bright like this one I’m wearing, or a black/neutral one. You guys know I love incorporating a lot of color into my outfits so when I saw this kimono from River Island, and then the matching PJ shorts, they both had to be included in my luggage for my recent Palm Springs trip. It ended up being the cutest look for breakfast on our patio at La Serena Villas.

There’s also a matching cami top and a PJ shirt with long sleeves (which are a HUGE trend this fall) that come in the same print, so you can also get one of those if you’re more into typical PJ sets.

I know I’m going to bring this River island kimono with me to NYFW – which is in less than two weeks, geez! Already got my outfit planned: this kimono paired with jeans, a cute white crop top or shirt, and my orange high-heels 🙂 I might end up wearing it as a beach cover-up this weekend too 🙂
I love that this kimono can literally be taken from bedroom to the street to the beach because I believe that’s how fashion should be: FUNCTIONAL!

Do you guys also try to look chic at your house just like you do outside, or do you think it’s too much work? Let me know in the comments!
