Style with Nihan Fall 2018 Hat Trend You Need in Your Closet- Fisherman’s Cap

Fall 2018 Hat Trend Urban Outfitters Fisherman’s Cap Majorelle Dress in Brooklyn

Hats are one of my all-time favorite accessories and most of the time they’re lifesavers for me. Not only they can save you from a bad hair day or rain, but they can also be the finishing touch to an outfit, and sometimes can be the statement piece of a look.

Especially in the fall – I always get super excited for the fall trends, and there are super cute hat styles and colors everywhere. Even though I have a couple of specific styles that I always go back to – like Fisherman’s Hats. I didn’t even think I’d wear this black faux-leather hat in New York but I brought it with me just in case and so glad I did! It saved my hair a little bit from getting rained on and humidity while I was there. I wore it so many times in New York that I ended up getting another similar style –  a plaid Fisherman’s Hat from Urban Outfitters to wear with browns, greens, yellows – aka fall colors.

Not sure why I associate hats with fall in my mind, but I always gravitate towards new hats in the fall. Maybe because in the fashion world, fall is a very dominant time new fashion trends and most designers/brands choose hats as one of the main accessories to style their collections.

Don’t be afraid to spend a couple more bucks more than you typically would on a specific trend of hats. I know fashion trends super quickly, but hat styles mostly stay the same. Yes, different colors and patterns are trending more trending each season, but I have hats that I’ve been wearing for years. If you haven’t played around with hats yet, I encourage you to do that this fall. There are a bunch of trends like berets, wool fedoras or brimmed hats, but I think the style that I’m wearing in these pictures – Fisherman’s Hats are a great intro to styling hats. They’re easy to style with and go with most outfits – while big hats and fedoras might look good with everything you wear. They do require more styling vs. just putting a hat on.

I picked a couple of affordable ones for you guys and really hoping that you’ll try this trend!
