Last weekend, me and some of my girlfriends went to Palm Springs. I’ve been there many times but it’s still one of my favorite weekend getaway spots. Such a cute town only 2 hrs away from San Diego. Boy it was hot, but staying in a cool place definitely helps. We were in the pool or in the house most of the time so it wasn’t that bad. If you’re looking for the best time to Palm Springs, I recommend January to May. My friend found this cutest mod decorated and stylish house on Air Bnb that looks like a house when Don Draper or the Jetsons family would stay when he’s in Palm Springs 🙂 Click the read more tab to see the pictures of the house. According to the description on the Air Bnb website, the house was built in 1946 by renowned architect Albert Frey and it epitomizes his modernism. The interior design of this property is a perfect mash-up between classic mid-century style reflecting clean sleek lines juxtaposed with modern day luxuries required of today’s discerning guests 🙂
It was a relaxing and catching up with friends and making new friends kind of trip. We arrived on Friday night, explored the house and went out to grab dinner at MatchBox. And then drinking and chatting by the pool at the house. We spent most of saturday in the pool chilling like a villain haha. My amazing friends cooked amazing food all day long so that was awesome! We left the house on sunday and grabbed brunch at Elmer’s before heading back to SD. We had omelettes, crepes and a German Pancake! So good!
I kept my outfits pretty light and casual for a relaxing and hot weekend. Details below!
