San Diego Restaurant Diaries Part 1: Barra Oliba in Little Italy

Barra Oliba Spanish restaurant Little Italy San Diego

Wine and tapas? Yes, please! One of the best meals I’ve had since returning from Europe was at the brand-new Barra Oliba Spanish Restaurant in Little Italy, San Diego.

Everything at this vibey, chic spot was perfection, although I had some favorites that I couldn’t get enough of:

  1. Crudo de Kampachi madurado con gazpacho
  2. Wagyu beef cheek with creamy potato puree
  3. Chorizo croquettes
  4. Patatas Bravas
  5. Spanish-style potato omelette with house-made aioli
  6. Boqueron and anchovies toast with pepper vinaigrette
  7. Sourdough topped with fresh heirloom sauce and hojiblanca EVOO + Jamon Iberico

For a chic, sexy, and moody European dining experience, Barra Oliba in Little Italy is the place to be. I’m already planning my next visit to indulge in more of their delicious tapas. Thank you to the Barra Oliba team for a wonderful media night!

xoxo
